Alfa eCare, a fast-growing healthcare software provider in the Nordics, today announces the acquisition of Swedish Care Systems (“Swedish Care”). Swedish Care is active in the Swedish dental care market, providing innovative software solutions to over 140 private practices and large public clients throughout Sweden. The acquisition was supported by Main Capital Partners (“Main”).

Since its inception in 1996, Swedish Care has grown into a leading player in the Swedish market. The Swedish Care software platform aims to improve operational quality for dental care organisations, while also reducing their administrative burden. It has developed a wide range of solutions covering financial administration, booking management and e-prescriptions among other services.

Leading eCare provider in the Nordics

Swedish Care represents the fourth acquisition by Alfa eCare, following the investment and backing by Main in 2020. Swedish Care joins the portfolio with Joliv (acquired in 2020), Clinicbuddy (2021) and Daisy (2021) already under the Alfa Group banner. Alfa eCare currently services more than 225 public sector clients as well as over 1000 private care providers across the Nordics. With its strong client base and a complementary product offering, Swedish Care further strengthens the leading position of the Group in the region. The Alfa Group services clients such as Humana, Previa, Tandea, Pilke and St Lukas (private sector), as well as Regions Skåne, Värmland, Halland, Norrbotten and municipalities Joensuu, Hämeenlinna, Nacka, Tyresö and Mikkeli.

Alfa eCare

Alfa eCare was founded in 1998 and is based in Malmö, Sweden. With around 75 employees, Alfa eCare services over 1.200 clients in a wide variety of domains within the healthcare and welfare market. Clients range from social, geriatric and youth care providers to general practitioners, dental care providers, public institutions and municipalities. Alfa eCare’s broad offering includes SaaS-solutions for journaling, electronic prescription, medication management, care planning, financial administration, booking management, care communication and day care administration.

Swedish Care

Swedish Care was founded in 1996 and is based in Malmö, Sweden. The company provides a comprehensive platform tailored towards the dental care market. With 14 employees, Swedish Care services over 140 clients with a strong presence in the public sector including several regions. Swedish Care offers a broad portfolio of innovative solutions aimed at improving quality of workflows and work environments for dental care providers by reduced administration needs through streamlined operations ranging from financial administration, booking management to e-prescribing.
