xxllnc expands within the social domain with the acquisition of Lost Lemon

xxllnc, Dutch leader in GovTech-software, expands its market position by adding Lost Lemon to the group. Lost Lemon has been offering its software and services to governmental institutions for over 15 years. The company focuses on the social domain in which it supports customers with different issues. The acquisition of Lost Lemon is the tenth acquisition of xxllnc group within two years since the investment of software investor Main Capital Partners.

Lost Lemon is a specialist in offering software and services that support clients (governmental institutions) within the social domain. In addition to software, Lost Lemon offers consultancy for i.e. technical advice processes, implementations, and they conduct research on hard-to-reach and vulnerable target groups.

The company is located in Haarlem, the Netherlands and has circa 90 employees. xxllnc buys 100% of the shares of Lost Lemon. xxllnc is a portfolio company of Main Capital Partners, a strategic investor in the software industry focused on accelerating growth and creating business value. The current shareholders and management of Lost Lemon, Diana Koppenol, Bas Huisman and Bas van Luxemburg will become co-shareholders in xxllnc and will also continue to form the management of the company within the social domain.

Lost Lemon has a broad product portfolio with different solutions to support its customers. For example, they provide e-forms, a citizen portal, an integration platform and a solution to keep track of compulsory education of students. In addition, Lost Lemon also provides the MensCentraal solution, which supports municipalities and ZBOs in implementing various social legislation such as the Youth Act, Participation Act and Social Support Act. Lost Lemon has built a strong position in the social domain with its great reputation and innovative products.

By joining forces, xxllnc and Lost Lemon will be able to serve more customers and deliver a broader product portfolio. The experience and knowledge of the Lost Lemon team will be used to further strengthen the organization in the upcoming years. The two companies combined aspire to become leading supplier of innovative and flexible solutions for social issues for (semi-)governments. Investments in software, people, quality of services and innovative strength will be central to this. In the future, the combined organization will be able to offer even better, broader and innovative services thanks to synergy, scale and investment power. The services and activities as known by customers and employees will continue to be guaranteed.

xxllnc, previously known as Exxellence, started in 2001 as a spin-off from the University of Twente and has grown into a software group with hundreds of employees that provides a wide range of solutions for (semi-) governmental organizations. Ten software companies have been added since it came under the wing of Main in 2020.

Lost Lemon, founded in 2006, is a specialist in providing software that supports governments in the social domain. They supply the products MensCentraal, The Social Monitor, the Products and Services Catalog (PDC) and e-forms. In addition to the software, Lost Lemon also offers consultancy support for i.e. technical advisory processes and implementations. They also conduct research into hard-to-reach and vulnerable target groups. Lost Lemon has approximately 90 employees and is located in Haarlem.
