STOCKHOLM, 28 October 2021 – The Assessio Group, a leading, Swedish human resource and technology company continues its growth trajectory towards becoming the largest provider of digital recruitment solutions in Europe.

Assessio who are backed by software investor Main Capital Partners, announces its second acquisition in the Netherlands in two years with the purchase of Eelloo, a technology company specialising in platform solutions for recruitment and employee development.

In an increasingly mobile and hybrid labour market, where the COVID-19 pandemic has also caused unemployment rates to rise, it is critically important that employers utilise the correct tools and procedures to find, recruit and develop their talent pools. Assessio, the Nordic region’s leading e-assessment company specialises in open-minded recruitment, enabling companies to work in a more inclusive and non-discriminatory manner with the help of their digital and evidence-based testing service platform.

“With the acquisition of Eelloo, the Assessio Group takes its next step towards becoming northern Europe’s largest e-assessment company. The strategic combination of companies in the Assessio Group is an integral part of our growth journey and with Eelloo, we add a unique competence and solution that is based on the employee perspective in a completely new way,” said Pär Cederholm, CEO & Partner at the Assessio Group.

Targeting European market leadership
Swedish-founded Assessio has been developing work psychological tests and tools for over 65 years. In 2019, Dutch software investor Main Capital Partners, specialising in SaaS companies, took a majority share in Assessio. This investment had a clear goal to support Assessio in becoming the largest European, modern HR company via its offering of digital solutions for recruitment and talent management. In the same year, Assessio also acquired the Dutch e-assessment company HFMtalentindex. Eelloo currently works with blue chip customers including KLM, Randstad and the Dutch Tax Office. It has a turnover of EUR4.51 million. Together with Eelloo, the Assessio Group now has over 1,300 customers worldwide with a gross turnover of over EUR21 million.

Zero talent waste
This acquisition is in line with Assessio’s vision of “zero talent waste” whereby both data and modern work psychology enables organisations to recruit more inclusively. “As the labour market evolves, so must the employers in it. We help our customers to work digitally, accurately and efficiently with skills supply that is in keeping with both the latest technology and research available,” said Pär Cederholm, CEO & Partner at the Assessio Group.

He continued: “Together with Eelloo’s unique candidate focus, we are the only Group in the Nordic region to be able to offer evidence-based solutions and expertise in matching, career guidance and coaching throughout the entire HR cycle. We have seen increased demand from our customers and Eelloo’s solutions are a direct response to this market requirement.”

“By joining forces with Assessio, we can grow and strengthen our impact across the Netherlands and beyond. Together, we can make it possible to revolutionise the labour market in a positive and impactful way. We feel that the “zero talent waste” vision goes perfectly with our own ambitions of putting the people first and ensuring that everyone’s talents find the right place to be of real value,” said Siebren Houtman, Director at Eelloo.

He continued: “To be able to serve a broad customer group internationally with innovative platforms means joining forces with the Assessio Group is a crucial step for us. Our customers will certainly experience the benefits of this working relationship moving forward.”
