Main Capital has acquired a majority stake in eHealth software group Alfa Kommun & Landsting AB and Safe Care Svenska AB, together referred to as Alfa.
About Alfa
Alfa was founded in 1998 and is based in Malmö, Sweden. The group is a recognized eHealth software company, providing solutions to both public and private healthcare providers, employing close to 40 employees and serves more than 400 customers throughout Sweden. Clients range from municipalities and social/geriatric/youth care providers to regions, general practitioners, dental care providers and public institutions.
Alfa’s broad offering includes both complete information systems and niche products, such as solutions for journaling, electronic prescription, medication management and care planning. The digital transition of the healthcare sector and an ageing population pose big challenges for the public and healthcare sectors, with Alfa’s products tailored towards supporting these clients in overcoming such challenges while optimizing their daily routines in the process.
Collaboration Alfa – Main Capital
Main Capital has significant experience and insight in the European healthcare software market, having been invested in multiple software players within this market. With the support of Main Capital, Alfa is going to further expand and develop its offering to continuously optimize the added value for its customers. In addition, the company will be looking for strategic combinations within the market, where they allow further added value to the group’s clients. Main builds on its experience gained in this market with investments such as Enovation, SDB Group, RVC and Regas.
