The Hague, March 22nd 2021 – SafeHarbour, specialist in GRC software and content focussed on the Information Security and Privacy domain for municipalities and government institutions, has joined forces with Inergy. Furthermore, Inergy has reached an agreement with SEP, specialist in e-learning and learning programs, on the acquisition of its SEP ISMS & Privacy software for Information Security for municipalities. On the 19th of March this year, the combination has been confirmed and put into effect by the parties.

With the LIAS InControl platform, Inergy offers software applications for the government market with the aim of supporting public organizations to work in a more data-driven way. The LIAS-suite offers municipalities more and better control information and thus control over important domains such as Finance and Control, Operations and the Social Domain. With the addition of SafeHarbour and SEP ISMS, the Lias platform will be further expanded. Last year, Lias Horizontal Supervision, Lias PAUW, Lias BUIG en Lias Info were added and now LIAS is used as a platform by almost all Dutch municipalities.

Mathijs van Houweninge, CEO of Inergy: “With this expansion of our services and platform, we also offer municipalities a solution to get a better grip on information security and privacy in order to better comply with laws and regulations. We see many opportunities for the further development of the SafeHarbour products and the SEP ISMS software into one integrated broad GRC solution within the Inergy portfolio. By integrating the application with LIAS In Control and linking it to the financial domain, we offer municipalities a solution for differentiated internal control and legitimacy accountability.”

Pieter van Bodegraven, Partner at Main Capital Partners: “Due to increased regulatory pressure we observe ample opportunity for growth in the GRC software market for governments. There is a need to be “In Control” in various domains and with LIAS we offer local governments a total solution when it comes to the financial and GRC domain. The acquisition of two leading ISMS and Privacy software solutions that jointly serve more than 250 municipalities contributes greatly to LIAS’ product offering and strengthens Inergy’s leading position in the market.”
