Main Capital Partners

On Wednesday, November 20th 2019 the first edition of the Main Insight Nordics Event took place in the Grand Hôtel in Stockholm. While this was the first installment in the Nordics, it is an annual event in all of our core geographies (Benelux, DACH and Nordics) and is focused on educating management teams of SME software companies on various subjects relevant to their business model, product development – and go to market strategies. Our first Event in the Nordics was focused on internationalization strategies of B2B software companies in Northwestern Europe

Four speakers from different companies shared their experiences, insights and expertise on internationalization strategies of B2B software companies to over 60 entrepreneurs and CEO’s of software companies.

Sheil Malde (Partner Nordics Strategy Team at Deloitte) gave the audience insights about the benefits of internationalization and the importance of choosing the right market and go-to market strategies. He presented best-practice tips and key factors determining success.

Kieran O’Flynn (Sales Manager at HubSpot) shared insights about how Hubspot managed their impressive international growth story and how to determine which countries are the right fit for your company. He also presented strategies for and the importance of making markets pull you in, having options to win in multiple countries and investing intelligently when the return is high.

Michael Jungvid (Senior Sales Director at Qlik) informed the audience on how Qlik successfully expanded from being a small company in Lund Sweden to now having 50 000 customers worldwide. He shared how Qlik’s successful partnerships have helped them internationalize as well as tips and best practices for succeeding with partnership strategies

Pär Cederholm (CEO at Assessio) closed the event by introducing the internationalization strategies they used themselves. He talked about how applicant tracking system (ATS) integrations led to international sales and how international partners, organic expansion and the use of the selective buy & build has helped them in the internationalization process.

We would like to thank all the speakers for sharing their success stories and making this a successful first Main Insight Nordics Event. We are looking forward to next year’s edition.
