The Hague, 14 December 2021 – Software-investor Main Capital Partners has acquired a majority stake in Qics. Qics is a leading provider in Professional Services Automation (PSA). With smart SaaS solutions for planning, hour registration, invoicing and business intelligence, Qics supports business service providers and healthcare companies in their digital transformation. Qics is the second investment from the ‘Main Foundation I’ fund, which was launched in October and is aimed at promising software companies.

The investment in Qics is an indication of the trust in both the Professional Services Automation market, and in the way Qics works. “The PSA software market offers various growth opportunities on a national and international level,” explains Ivo van Deudekom, Senior Investment Manager at Main.  “Qics knows like no other which processes are essential for its customers’ business models. This knowledge is fully embedded in the products and the organisation. From our market research we see many opportunities for Qics in both adjacent verticals and new geographies.”

Organic growth and selective acquisition
Qics and Main will jointly focus on achieving further organic growth within the various segments of the PSA software market. In addition, a selective buy-and-build strategy will be applied to strengthen the position in the broader project management market. The current management team, consisting of CCO Eddy Plasier, CTO Mark Velthuijsen, COO Jacob den Houting and product owner Marek Vaculčiak, will remain on board and invest in Qics.

Eddy Plasier, CCO Qics: “We are looking forward to join forces with Main. By bundling our technical and commercial expertise with Main’s knowledge and international experience, we can develop Qics into a leading software provider in the PSA market, both in the Netherlands and abroad. We see Main as a strategic partner with a good vision to realise the ambitious growth plans and further professionalisation of our company.”
