SDB Ayton, the specialized SaaS-based HR, planning, payrolling and ECD software company for the healthcare market, headquartered in The Hague, acquires the Almere based company Reports to continue as one. Reports’ management team stays involved with the company as part of SDB Ayton. After the acquisition of Cormel in November 2018, this is the second acquisition by SDB Ayton in her strategic pursued to serve the Dutch healthcare sector with a full-suite of solutions. The addition of Reports to SDB Ayton creates an organization with over 120 employees with the common goal to facilitate the operations of Dutch healthcare organizations with smart software solutions and a broad product portfolio. The Business Intelligence (BI) solutions by Reports fit extremely well with the ECD, HR, planning and payrolling solutions by SDB Ayton and make SDB Ayton the first and only player out in the market to offer a full-suite SaaS offering with BI and Analytics capabilities.

Reports, founded in 2006, develops and operates an open and transparent data platform enabling customer to efficiently disclose, integrate and analyze data from a wide array of sources. The platform gives users the opportunity to process large amounts of data and generate insights into operational performance and KPIs by means of intuitive management dashboards. With the help of Reports, customers get hold of historical performance, but above all, the platform enables healthcare institutions to identify and effectively implement future improvement opportunities. Reports focusses heavily on the Dutch healthcare sector, and serves customers the VVT, GHZ, JGZ and GGZ sectors. Additionally, Reports’ customer base includes several national Implant Registers, safety regions and some organizations active in non-healthcare related sectors.

Similar to Reports, SDB Ayton is also active in the VVT and GHZ sectors, where she serves over 500 customers with HR, salary, planning and ECD software solutions. Through the strong complementary fit in terms of products, services and customers, the combined organization will be effectively able to support the rising demand for integration in the IT landscapes within healthcare organizations by offering a best-of-suite solution to customers. Moreover, the platform of Reports will be able to connect well to the data sources generated from the various modules of the complete SDB Ayton product portfolio, providing unique benefits to full-suite customers.

After the acquisition of Cormel in November 2018, the acquisition of Reports is the second step by SDB Ayton towards becoming the leading SaaS player in the Dutch healthcare market. Naturally, post-acquisition, the focus of the group will remain to develop innovative products to fulfill the needs and demands of its customers in the Dutch healthcare market. Stimulating organic growth and leveraging up- and cross-sell opportunities of the combined organization will therefore stay at the core of the growth strategy. In addition, continuation of the buy-and-build strategy by doing strategic add-on acquisitions will remain a potential component of the business plan. As part of this buy-and-build strategy one can think of acquiring adjacent technologies as well as expanding towards other vertical segments in the healthcare market, both of which have been realized with the acquisition of Reports.

Cooperation Reports – SDB Ayton

Vincent van Staalduinen (Customer Success Director SDB Ayton): “The Dutch healthcare market is currently undergoing an enormous transformation, driven by technological innovation and digitization. SDB Ayton is doing here utmost best to become and stay market leader in the Dutch healthcare sector. Last November SDB Ayton has added Cormel, an innovative SaaS ECD-software provider, to its product portfolio. Today we announce that also Reports, developer and suppliers of powerful data visualization and BI-solutions, will become part of SDB Ayton.

From our continuous dialogue with directors of healthcare institutions we hear that they are longing for fully integrated solutions, preferably from a single supplier. Moreover, institutions indicate to be seeking more powerful management information that can enable them to make more informed decisions and manage their organization more effectively. Thanks to the additions of Cormel and Reports, SDB Ayton is now able to deliver an integrated, full-suite solution to Dutch healthcare institutions. This development will be of great added value for our customers and the market, but above all it contributes to improvements in the quality of care for clients, which is ultimately what it is all about.”

Charly Zwemstra (Managing Partner Main Capital Partners): “With the support of Main Capital, SDB Ayton is expanding following a strategy based on organic growth, while also enlarging its product offering, broadening its client base and executing on strategic add-on acquisition. After the acquisition of Cormel, Reports is a logical and highly strategic second step in this strategy.”

Bob van Dulken (Director and founder Reports): “Since 2006, Reports has focused on facilitating clients to get to timely, relevant and reliable management information. Now, in 2019, Reports has grown into an organization with a leading position in the healthcare market for management information and registrations. With the recently developed Healthcare platform, Reports can scale up in the market for VVT, GHZ, JGZ and registrations. Doing this in cooperation with SDB Ayton provides unique opportunities. The substantial installed base of SDB Ayton and the expertise of Reports regarding Management Information and Data Analytics will provide a source of inspiration for the market to improve the quality of care. The new combination, fully SaaS-based, will be complementary, innovative and sustainable.“
