As of today the Roxit Group has added Crotec to its portfolio. Merging the companies is a strategic choice of Roxit Group to strengthen its position in the field of Spatial Planning and the Geo-field. Crotec will continue to operate independently to a large extent. Through the bundling of products, experience, and strength, the companies within the Roxit Group will be able to offer a more complete portfolio in various fields in the public domain. The Roxit Group has acquired 100% of the shares of Crotec. With support of Main Capital, Roxit Group strives to grow its portfolio of software products; among others through targeted acquisitions such as Green Valley and Crotec.

A source of knowledge, experience and investments

Rob Steneker, CEO of the Roxit Group, welcomes the step to join forces: “Crotec is a solid company with a strong market position in the field of regional planning and geographic information. With this company, we strengthen and broaden our portfolio in these areas. This enables us to innovate and respond to the changing needs of our customers. “

“For Crotec it is important to be part of the Roxit Group; this secures the current market-position and  innovations for the purpose of the environmental code. But in the short term we also see good opportunities for our C-SAM-line in combination with the case system and websites of Green Valley”, said André Sluyter, managing director of Crotec.

Time for innovative concepts

Rob van Tiel, Director of Business Development of the Roxit Group: “Our customers are in need of renovation. The current software landscape in the public sector has been quite outdated. The digital agenda of the government, the ‘open data’ concept, and digital service to citizens and businesses are reasons for our customers to need new concepts. In addition, our customers indicated that they want more freedom to combine applications from multiple vendors. They also want to have the freedom to respond flexibly to the ongoing and accelerating change which the law and regulations impose on them. This is the main drive for development within our Group. Both Roxit and Green Valley have this view while working on the renewal of their portfolios. His fellow director, Matty Lakerveld of Crotec, adds: “At Crotec we share the same innovative drive and therefore we fit very well within the Roxit Group. Next to Strategical Planning, our expertise is in the GIS technology. With our C-SAM line we offer smart GIS solutions. We use the latest techniques like ‘live links and streaming’ of data instead of laboriously copying from one database to another. That is a new approach which replaces the old technology. “

An important starting point is that the companies from the Roxit Group will continue to operate from their own specialization, and that the customers from Roxit, Green Valley and Crotec will continue to be served in the best way from their own specific areas. If the customer wishes so, we obviously have a combined and integrated portfolio in various fields. Crotec joins the group as a sister company of Roxit and Green Valley. All companies operate independently and the current management of Crotec (André Sluyter and Matty Lakerveld) will remain on board.

n the back office, the group offers a strong combination permit distribution, supervision, and enforcement (VTH), Spatial Planning (RO) and basic registrations, including the Register Topography (BGT). In addition, a broad portfolio in the area of mid-office and front office (jointly with Green Valley) is offered. Crotec completes the business system and DMS/RMA of Green Valley with the C-SAM suite by centrally managing, cleverly combining and publishing actual and reliable spatial data and key registrations.
