We look back on a fantastic event at the Lofthaus in Düsseldorf. The central theme of the event was the social impact of business software. Fives special awards were presented during the ceremony: The Overall Champions Awards for the top 3 in the ranking, the Highest Growth Award and the Cloud Champion Award.
We started off by discussing how software drives efficiency and quality within healthcare held by Volker Mielke and Thomas Unterhaslberger. This was followed by a keynote by Najat Messaoud (Director Azure BG, Germany) on Microsoft’s societal contribution of providing technologies like AI and resources to people that help save lives. Lastly, the second and last panel discussion was held, which focused on talent management and more specifically how to attract and retain talent for the software industry, and how to close the gap between the education system and labor market. This discussion was held by Andreas Meck (CEO Perbility), Stéphanie Kliner (CO-CEO enventa Group) and Alexander Senn (Head of People & Organization Siemens Smart Infrastructure).

The 2nd Overall Champion is Conceptboard, a software company that builds a solution for remote collaboration for teams in organizations.
The 3rd Overall Champion is d.velop AG, a company that delivers software solutions for document management and digital processes.
The Cloud Champion Award is presented to Link11, a company that provides software for cyber security.
The Highest Growth Award is awarded to Evermood, a software company that offers a platform for human resource management.
openHandwerk GmbH is the most promising new and emerging company in Germany of 2022 and wins the Main Accelerator Award.
