Social inclusivity in the Software industry

Main Capital Partners aims to drive value for our companies, our investors and society.

We also aim to further strengthen the digital economy, both now and in the future. That’s why Main has launched the Main Social Institute, a foundation to host several initiatives driving societal value related to the software industry and digital businesses.

 

Partner of WE-IT

Main Social Institute is partner and program sponsor of WE-IT: a public-private collaboration in the province of South Holland. WE-IT hosts multiples initiatives and interventions aimed at retraining of 3000 professionals towards IT in the next years.

The Main Scholarship

As part of the Main Social Institute we also fund students during their IT-related bachelor program at The Hague University of Applied Sciences (Haagse Hogeschool) and the Technical University of Delft (TU Delft) by offering them the Main Scholarship.

Students with a certain distance to the labor market or who face difficulties funding the study themselves.

Students who have finished the basic semester and the first module of software engineering.

Students living in the Netherlands (not exchange students) to directly support our local ecosystem.

Students with exceptional study performance and motivation.

Who do we support?

We support students who are talented and focused on software engineering as a career, but who face difficulties finishing their studies without additional (financial) support. Next to financial support, Main Social Institute brings network, knowledge and mentoring.

Main wants to support successful candidates in the best way possible, using our capital and operational network to give them the best chance of success in the working world.

Why this initiative?

Improve social inclusivity and diversity in IT

At Main, we strive to create an environment of belonging where everyone feels respected, supported and appreciated. This includes fostering a culture of inclusion. By considering different perspectives and backgrounds, we can ensure the IT industry is open to all individuals.


Help close the gap in the IT labor market

It is without any doubt that one of the biggest hurdles to success over the next years will be the development of sufficient talent to satisfy increasing demand.

IT Talent does not only help the Software industry as such, but also drives digital transformation in many other industries (e.g. healthcare, mobility, government).
