Throughout the day, 7 students got to know their mentors, engaged in introductory sessions, and had the chance to network with fellow scholarship recipients. The program not only provides financial support but also offers students valuable mentoring and access to Main’s network through various events during the year.
The 2026 Main Scholarship/Excellence Program kicked off on September 8th, bringing together seven ambitious students from different educational backgrounds. The opening day gave the students the opportunity to meet their mentors, get to know one another, and discover what they can expect from the year ahead.
For Sofia Ivanova, the mentorship is an especially valuable part of the program: “Having a mentor who understands what I’m experiencing during my studies will be really valuable. I’m looking forward to learning from someone with practical experience and seeing how things work within companies.”
The students enter the program with different backgrounds and ambitions, ranging from software development and AI to entrepreneurship. This diversity creates opportunities for them to learn not only from their mentors, but also from one another.
For Gurkamandeep Sidhu, Software Engineering student at TU Delft University, having a mentor who can help him explore his future options is particularly valuable: “I’m looking forward to having a mentor who can help me understand the different directions I could take, explore my options, and offer a different perspective on my future.”
With the 2026 edition officially underway, the seven students are set for a year of learning, mentorship, networking, and personal development. By bringing students together with experienced professionals, the Main Scholarship/Excellence Program aims to help them broaden their perspectives, develop their skills, and take the next steps toward their future careers.
Main Capital Partners is proud to continue the program for its fifth year, investing in young talent and helping the next generation explore opportunities within technology, software, and entrepreneurship.
