Main celebrated the official opening of its London office on 9 October 2026, bringing together entrepreneurs, advisors, and partners from its network to mark an important milestone in the firm's international expansion.

Having commenced operations in July 2026, the London office strengthens Main’s local presence in the UK Enterprise Software market and serves as a strategic hub for building long-term partnerships with founders and management teams of B2B Enterprise Software companies.

The opening celebration brought together members of the UK software and investment ecosystem. During the event, Charly Zwemstra, CEO of Main Capital Partners, and Sjoerd Aarts, Managing Partner and Head of Benelux & UK, shared their perspectives on Main’s expansion into the UK, its strategic ambitions and the opportunities within the local Enterprise Software market.

Strengthening Main’s presence in the UK Enterprise Software market

The establishment of the London office reflects Main’s commitment to the UK software market and its ambition to build strong, long-term relationships with local entrepreneurs, management teams and investors. Through its sector expertise and operational experience, Main aims to support B2B Enterprise Software companies in accelerating organic growth, expanding internationally and pursuing targeted buy-and-build strategies.

Main focuses on building pan-European B2B Enterprise Software groups. Expanding into the UK, one of Europe’s most established Enterprise Software markets, aligns closely with this strategy. The local presence also provides Main’s existing portfolio companies with greater access to the UK market, creating opportunities for organic expansion and strategic acquisitions.

Main has already taken its first steps in the UK market, completing its first UK investment in Orgvue in September 2026, shortly followed by the acquisition of Tribal Group. These investments underline Main’s ambition to establish a strong presence in the region and further expand its UK software portfolio.

The official opening celebration provided an opportunity to strengthen relationships across the UK software ecosystem and reflect on the next phase of Main’s international expansion.
