Main Tech Day 2026
Together with AWS, we hosted Main Tech Day on 15 June 2026, a dedicated event where tech leaders from across our portfolio came together to learn, exchange ideas, and push the boundaries of innovation.
Main Tech Day 2026 brought together technology leaders from across the Main portfolio for a day of learning, knowledge sharing, and discussion on one of the most pressing topics in software development today: the evolving role of software developers in the AI era.
Throughout the day, one message stood out clearly: AI is not replacing software developers. Instead, it is transforming how they build, secure, and scale software, creating new opportunities for innovation and impact.
We were delighted to welcome expert speakers from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Aikido Security, and enventa Group, who shared valuable insights, practical experiences, and forward-looking perspectives on the future of software development.
🔷 Beyond the Inner Loop
Henrique G. from Amazon Web Services (AWS) challenged attendees to think beyond AI-assisted coding. As AI becomes embedded across the entire software development lifecycle, developers are increasingly responsible for designing systems, guardrails, and feedback loops that enable AI to deliver reliable and scalable outcomes.
🔷 Security in the Age of AI
Mackenzie Jackson from Aikido Security explored how AI is reshaping application security. While AI-generated code can help reduce some traditional coding errors, complex vulnerabilities remain. He emphasized the growing importance of secure development practices, particularly in light of emerging risks such as AI-driven supply chain attacks.
🔷 Amplifier, Not Autopilot
Carsten Rattay from enventa Group highlighted that AI should be viewed as an amplifier of human expertise rather than a replacement for it. The greatest value is created when AI is combined with domain knowledge, creativity, and critical thinking, supported by the right guardrails and quality controls.
🔷 Break-out Sessions: AI in the Software Development Lifecycle
The day concluded with interactive break-out sessions, where software and technology leaders from across the Main portfolio exchanged experiences, challenges, and best practices for integrating AI throughout the software development lifecycle. These discussions provided valuable peer-to-peer insights into how organizations are adapting to the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
