Epona and JustiSolutions join forces with the support of Main Capital Partners

This combination brings together two companies of comparable size to form a complementary LegalTech provider with a global footprint across diverse markets and industries. Operating under the name Epona, the newly combined entity offers a comprehensive and modern product portfolio. Main Capital Partners, the majority stakeholder in both Epona and JustiSolutions, will retain its majority ownership following the transaction.

Epona is a Dutch software company specializing in legal technology and a strategic partner of Main as of December 2023. Epona’s product portfolio includes document management systems (DMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) software designed to streamline operations and ensure compliance for law firms and corporate legal departments. Seamlessly integrating with Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and Teams, their flagship Epona365 system delivers features such as document and email management, team collaboration, matter intake, contract management, workflow automation, and CRM functionality. Today, Epona serves a global customer base of over 400 law firms and corporate legal departments.

JustiSolutions is a newly established entity, spun off from Unik System Design – a leading provider of PropTech and LegalTech solutions in Denmark – with whom Main partnered with in September 2023. Building on Unik’s strong foundation, JustiSolutions will continue offering the highly regarded Unik Advosys system, used daily by more than 400 law firms and corporate legal departments across Denmark. Furthermore, the development of the SaaS-based JustiCase system aims to expand the company’s value proposition, ensuring the new group remains at the forefront of innovative solutions for legal professionals.

Creating a complementary European LegalTech provider
The combination between Epona and JustiSolutions creates a complementary LegalTech provider within document and legal practice management, with the ability to offer its customers an expanded solution offering that will increase efficiency, compliance and productivity for legal professionals globally. Both businesses have built up a strong position within their respective domains and the combination creates a strong combined product offering well positioned for future international growth. Together, the group will service more than 800 clients across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
