On Wednesday October 4th, the fourth edition of the Main CTO Day took place in the Van der Valk hotel Utrecht. After a nice lunch, Pieter van Bodegraven (Partner, Main Capital) opened the event with a welcome word and introduced the Chairman of the Day Dirk-Willem van Gulik (webweaving). Dirk-Willem kicked-off with a short overview of the security landscape, models and latest trends. The first speaker of the day was Martin Knobloch (OWASP, Netherlands Chapter Leader), he talked about the OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project) framework for secure software development.
After a short coffee break with fresh pastries, the second speaker Koos Wolters (Partner Cyber Security, KPMG) took the floor to talk about the implications that the new GDPR will have on CTO’s. Jan Martijn Broekhof (CEO, security software company Guardian 360) and Barry van Kampen (CEO, security service company S-Unit) were the final two speakers of the day. Together they gave a presentation on the differences of Pentesting vs. Continuous scanning for security breaches.
After three very interesting and diverse presentations Dirk-Willem did a short wrap-up and invited everybody for networking drinks at the skybar of the hotel.
With over 60 participants the Main CTO Day 2017 was a great success. We thank our speakers and Chairman of the day and we look forward to the next edition in 2018.
All the presentations will be available on the knowledge center soon.
