Certwell, specialist in certificate management, joins Oribi Groep

Oribi Groep, provider of Identity & Access Management software, announces the strategic combination with certificate and compliance specialist in access management Certwell. This is Oribi Groep’s third add-on acquisition since partnering with Main Capital Partners in 2021. In 2022, the group already strengthened its position by acquiring authorization management specialist SmartAIM and ID verification specialist JanusID. The combination is a new milestone in Oribi’s growth and active buy-and-build strategy. By joining forces, the combined group can continue to expand its product suite, moving closer to its goal of becoming a leading software provider in identity and access management.

Certwell, founded in 2010 and headquartered in Eindhoven, offers a range of compliance and certificate solutions. Certwell is a well-known player in the construction and infrastructure industry, with all grid operators among its customers. These solutions provide assistance to customers in complying with legal and functional requirements of their employees by monitoring the validity and authenticity of certificates. The company serves a total of 45 customers in verticals such as construction, energy, logistics and healthcare. The company offers a comprehensive portfolio of digital solutions to help organizations remain compliant and reduce their administrative workload. Certwell’s solutions enable customers to ensure compliance with industry regulations and maintain the highest quality standards while reducing overhead costs.

Leading IAM specialist
Certwell’s strong certificate management capabilities fit very well within Oribi’s existing offering of scalable identity and access management solutions. The combination is complementary as Certwell and Oribi share a similar product-market-fit and are geographically close to each other. Certwell’s certificate management expertise will allow Oribi to offer an even more comprehensive set of identity and access management solutions to its customers. Moreover, by further broadening within the IAM workflow, the combined group becomes a more diverse player. This makes Oribi even more attractive to its customers, as it becomes a one-stop shop for all their identity and access management needs.
