  • Press release
JobRouter, a provider of digital business transformation solutions and manufacturer of a cross-industry low-code digitalization platform, today announced the acquisition of sycat group.

sycat group is a Germany-based IMS software company, specializing in the development of software for integrated management systems (IMS). Together, JobRouter and sycat can offer integrated management systems and process automation from a single source and will continue their focus on SMEs in the DACH region. The combination with sycat marks the second acquisition of JobRouter since the start of the strategic partnership with Main Capital Partners in 2017. The combined group employs c. 140 employees and is expected to generate revenues towards EUR 20m in 2024.

sycat, founded in 1994, is a Germany-based IMS software company headquartered in Hannover. The company offers five distinct products, IMS Portal, eLU, Process Designer, Start page and MAM, providing a central system for customers that enables them to store critical information, manage access of their employees to said information, administer documents and model workflows & processes. Sycat serves a customer base of more than 2750 customers worldwide, including Schott AG and Kral GmbH.

Highly complementary product offering

The product suites of the two companies complement each other, providing the potential to extend the process and documentation management spectrum (“process-to-flow”), creating plenty of upside with respect to cross-selling opportunities. With JobRouter being primarily focused on process automation and sycat on creating a central point of reference for information and documents that flow into process modelling, the combined firm will integrate both process management and automation in one solution. As such, the combined firm will be able to map, model and automate the entire range of documentation processes in line with compliance and continue their focus on the SME market in DACH.

In addition to digital and automated business processes, every company has numerous processes that run manually or collect knowledge. The sycat IMS platform consolidates this knowledge, makes it available to all employees and provides relevant data and documents for learning, modelling and optimization measures. With the help of JobRouter®’s low-code approach, sycat customers are now able to transform their modeled processes into digital and automated processes very quickly. JobRouter and sycat now form a joint organization with more than 140 employees whose products are used by more than 4500 companies.

“With our digitalization platform, we offer companies a wealth of functions to digitally map any business processes. sycat bundles knowledge about these processes, shows workflows, interrelationships and responsibilities and thus facilitates project implementation,” explains Axel Ensinger, Co-CEO of JobRouter.
sycat primarily supports medium-sized companies from a wide array of industries. As part of the digital transformation in the SME sector, many of these companies are focusing on the topic of process automation. With the sycat IMS functions for process modeling and integrated task and action management, customers know exactly how their processes run and which authorizations, weak points or actions they contain or can be derived from them.

Marcus Nagel, Co-CEO of JobRouter, mentions: “This helps JobRouter customers to form a solid information base and process management allowing them to run their digitalization projects even more successfully. In addition, we will be able to make sycat available to our large partner network in the future and expand our existing partner network with a new partner group.”

Sven van Berge Henegouwen, Managing Partner and Head of DACH at Main Capital Partners, concludes: “The acquisition of sycat creates a DACH leader for Digital Process Automation for SMEs. sycat opens access to new verticals that help to further diversify the customer base (healthcare, government, logistics). The majority of sycat customers could benefit from the JobRouter platform, making them ideal targets for cross-selling. We look forward to these prospects and will continue to support JobRouter in its continued growth journey as a strategic partner.”
