Main Capital Partners makes first Belgian platform investment with acquisition of RiskConcile

This investment marks Main’s first Belgian platform investment and fourth Belgian acquisition in total since opening its office in Antwerp in September 2022.

Founded in 2015 by Jan De Spiegeleer and Karl Ottevaere, RiskConcile has grown into a leading software developer of risk and regulatory solutions for the financial sector. The company offers a wide range of proprietary software solutions covering amongst others PRIIPs, AIFMD Annex IV, Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA), Liquidity stress testing, Solvency and SFDR reporting. From their headquarters in Leuven, Belgium, RiskConcile serves an international customer base of more than 100 customers. RiskConcile’s client base consists of various leading asset managers, banks, fund managers, insurance companies and fund service providers with key markets being the Benelux, UK, Ireland and France.

Through its cloud-based software solutions, RiskConcile enables financial institutions to efficiently manage their risk and regulatory processes. Collaboration between RiskConcile and Main

The current management team of RiskConcile will retain a significant minority stake and stay closely involved post-closing. With Main’s expertise in the B2B RegTech domain, the envisaged growth strategy will focus on further product innovation, international expansion, and a client-centric approach. Additionally, RiskConcile is well positioned as a starting point for an international buy-and-build strategy, aiming to acquire complementary product functionalities and further expand its international footprint. By combining collective strengths and expertise, RiskConcile is set to further expand its international market position and continue providing innovative risk and compliance solutions to its growing customer base.
