Your opportunity: AI Analyst
As an AI Analyst, you will help portfolio companies translate AI opportunities into concrete initiatives, ensuring that these projects are designed, implemented, and monitored with clear KPIs and measurable outcomes. By tracking key AI metrics and performance indicators, you help ensure that AI initiatives contribute directly to operational improvements, growth, or efficiency gains.
In addition, you will support investment teams during the evaluation of new investment opportunities by assessing AI capabilities, risks, and opportunities within potential target companies. You will help build a clear view of how AI is currently used, the value it can create, and any potential risks or limitations that should be considered before investment decisions are made.
From an investment perspective, you contribute to value creation and risk management by translating AI insights into actionable recommendations for both deal teams and portfolio company leadership.
Tasks include:
- Support AI value creation initiatives across the portfolio by identifying, evaluating, and monitoring AI use cases within portfolio companies;
- Help portfolio companies design and implement AI initiatives with clear objectives, measurable KPIs, and defined success metrics;
- Monitor and track AI performance metrics to ensure initiatives deliver tangible business impact;
- Collaborate with deal teams to assess AI opportunities and risks in potential investment targets during due diligence;
- Analyze the AI maturity and data readiness of prospective and existing portfolio companies;
- Support portfolio companies in identifying practical AI use cases that improve operations, products, or customer experience;
- Contribute to the development of AI best practices, playbooks, and frameworks that can be reused across the portfolio;
- Help translate AI insights into concrete improvement roadmaps and value creation plans;
- Stay up to date with developments in AI technologies, tooling, and governance, and share relevant insights with portfolio companies and internal teams.
Why you would be a good fit for us:
- You have completed a university education (WO) in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, (Technical) Business Analytics, or a similar field;
- You enjoy working at the intersection of technology, data, AI, and business impact, translating AI opportunities into practical initiatives with measurable results;
- You are comfortable operating on both a strategic and hands-on level: from identifying AI opportunities and defining KPIs to supporting implementation and monitoring impact;
- You enjoy switching between AI strategy, data analytics, and investment perspectives, and you thrive in a dynamic environment where you can make a tangible impact;
- You have 1–3 years of relevant experience, for example as an AI Analyst, Data Scientist, AI Consultant, Analytics Consultant, or in a similar role where you worked on AI or data-driven initiatives;
- You have a solid understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, including model development, evaluation metrics, and how AI solutions create business value;
- Experience with data analytics, experimentation, or monitoring performance metrics/KPIs for AI or data products is a strong plus;
- You are comfortable analyzing AI capabilities, data maturity, and potential risks within organizations;
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and enjoy structuring complex technological topics into clear insights for business stakeholders;
- You have strong social and communication skills and integrity, and you enjoy working closely with deal teams and management teams;
- Excellent command of English and Dutch, both spoken and written, is required. German or French is a plus.
