We’re looking for a motivated, analytical, and entrepreneurial Analyst with focus on commercial performance of our portfolio companies, to join our Performance Excellence team.

The Performance Excellence Group supports portfolio companies by implementing improvement programs, helping them implement standards (standard financial & KPI reporting) and identifying, capturing and sharing best practices through handbooks. What you’ll bring:

An academic education relevant to the position (Business Administration, Business Information Management, Economics, Econometrics, Technical University with an MBA or BA minor).
1–2 years of experience in either consultancy (e.g., commercial strategy or pricing, or CDD) or in an operational role at a tech or software company (e.g., RevOps, (sales) operations, growth or commercial strategy). Starters with relevant internships in these fields are also invited to apply.
Strong analytical skills for performing commercial and operational data analysis in excel to retrieve the right insights.
Knowledge of marketing automation (tools), lead generation, sales methodologies, direct and indirect sales channels, preferably in a b2b SaaS setting.
Experience with project management/project-based work.
A proactive, self-starting mindset with the ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
The ability to work independently and prioritize in a changing and challenging work environment.
Strong social and communication skills and integrity, allowing you to communicate well with the PX team, deal teams of Main, and management teams of the portfolio companies.
You have an excellent English and Dutch command in word and writing.

What you’ll do

In this Analyst role you will support our portfolio companies with solving commercial challenges, mostly related to marketing automation, sales (channel) optimization and pricing. You will work together with the GTM & Topline Growth senior associate within the Performance Excellence team, colleagues from the dealteam and management of portfolio companies. The work will be performed partly at our office in The Hague and partly on location at our portfolio companies.

The tasks include:

Assess Marketing & Sales performance: based on predefined and measured commercial KPIs.
Improve Marketing & Sales effectiveness: improving the marketing and sales funnel through analysis of conversion rates of marketing channels and (in)direct sales channels.
Define customer segmentation & targeting: defining the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and developing the value proposition for this audience, including pain points and solutions.
Improve partnership & channel strategy: assess partner ecosystem performance and suggest strategies to strengthen indirect sales channels.
Improve retention & expansion: analyzing churn, upsell, and cross-sell to create paths for revenue growth among existing customers.
Optimize pricing & packaging: improving pricing models by applying the right packaging, metrics, and price points.
Contribute to playbooks: contribute to new or updated playbooks through gathering best practices.
