Due to the increase in the number of companies in our portfolio and the active guidance of portfolio companies in the field of Go-to-Market and commercial performance, we are further expanding the Performance Excellence team. We are therefore looking for a Lead building the Go-to-Market & Topline Growth part of the operating practice.

Your opportunity: Performance Excellence Lead (G2M & Topline Growth)

As a Performance Excellence (PX) Lead, you will play a pivotal role in enabling our Investment Team and supporting Private Equity activities. You will contribute to the professionalization, internationalization, and scaling of Main Capital’s operations, while strengthening our strategic positioning as a knowledgeable and supportive partner in the enterprise software market. 

This is a cross-border, portfolio-wide position involving frequent collaboration with portfolio company management teams and deal teams on-site. You will work on concrete improvement initiatives that drive value creation, operational efficiency and commercial growth.  

Tasks include:

Build Go-to-Market capabilities and impact topline growth

  • Support portfolio companies in developing and executing Go-to-Market (G2M) strategies.
  • Drive sales effectiveness and optimize sales channels. 
  • Contribute to Customer Success Management (CSM) and Partner Management initiatives. 
  • Assist in internationalization efforts and market expansion. 
  • Advise on pricing & packaging strategies. 
  • Help build and structure sales teams, including target setting and incentive schemes. 
  • Assist in commercial integration after buy & build (e.g. organization, pricing strategies, product propositions, rebranding). 
  • Implement marketing automation, inbound marketing, and SEO/SEA strategies.

Framework & Playbook Development 

  • Collect and standardize best practices across the portfolio. 
  • Develop new toolkits and playbooks based on research and portfolio insights (e.g. partner management, AI pricing).

Knowledge Sharing & Community Building 

  • Host webinars and facilitate knowledge exchange across the portfolio. 
  • Engage with and further build out the CCO community through the Pulse platform as digital knowledge hub. 
  • Support the organization of key events (e.g. CEO Day, CFO Day, Main Insights).

Operational Excellence Projects 

  • Lead or support performance improvement projects, depending on seniority. 
  • Collaborate with deal teams and portfolio leadership to implement tools and frameworks.

Build the team and practice 

  • Directly manage one dedicated G2M Analyst, and build the team going forward. 
  • Work together with a multidisciplinary team of operating specialists within Main, covering capabilities like finance & operations, product, tech & AI, and HR.

We are looking for a driven and analytical professional with a strong affinity for enterprise software and private equity. You are a team player who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys working across borders and cultures. Furthermore, you have:

  • An academic education relevant to the position (Business Administration, Business Information Management, Economics, Econometrics, Technical University with an MBA or BA minor).
  • 4-6 years of experience in either strategy consultancy (e.g., commercial strategy or pricing, or CDD) and/or in an operational role at a tech or software company (e.g., RevOps, (sales) operations, growth or commercial strategy).
  • Knowledge of marketing automation (tools), lead generation, pricing strategies, sales methodologies, direct and indirect sales channels, preferably in a b2b SaaS setting.
  • Experience with project management/project-based work and with business models of software/ IT companies is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and a solid grasp of commercial and operational data to create the right insights.
  • Solid understanding of business models in Enterprise Software, commercial SaaS KPIs and the ability to identify improvement areas based on benchmarks.
  • A proactive, self-starting mindset with the ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
  • The ability to work independently and prioritize in a changing and challenging work environment.
  • Strong social and communication skills and integrity, allowing you to communicate well with the PX team, deal teams of Main, and management teams of the portfolio companies.
  • You have an excellent command of English and Dutch in word and writing. German and/or French is a plus.
